Spiritual Issues

For many of us our faith is a big part of our lives. Therefore this too can be apart of our recovery process, right? For some of us, our spiritual beliefs are a source of great strength. For others of us, our faith background carries a lot of hurt from past abuse or shame. No matter if you are hostile toward faith because of how it was used against you, someone who is actively apart of a faith community or someone who is a church leader… all of us need a place to wrestle with our doubts, hurts and anger. You are welcome and safe to do so at Mosaic Counseling.

Person #1- Carrying Spiritual Baggage

Some of us have been abused and scared at the hands of “spiritual” people. Some of us are unlearning some of the lessons we mistakenly or perhaps correctly learned from those who did not care for us well. Some of us are trying to find our way back and some of us are trying to come to peace with the baggage we have carried for far too long. If this is your story you are safe here to process it all and determine what you want to do with the pieces.

Person #2- Desiring to integrate their faith into their own recovery

As someone who knows there is a spiritual element to each of our lives it is my joy to invite clients to integrate this part of their life into their processing. Perhaps this will involve some times of talking with God alone, consulting with fellow believers or spending time reading spiritual writings. If you are looking to integrate your faith into your counseling you are welcome here!

Person #3- Church leader

At one time I was a church leader and experienced my own dark night of the soul. In those darkest times of anger and loneliness I longed for a safe place to let my guard down and wrestle with things I could not be honest about anywhere else in my public life. Good leaders need help sometimes too. You are safe here!
